The CQB Fundamentals Course provides essential Simunition-based training in close-quarters battle, focusing on 2- to 4-man room-clearing techniques. This course mirrors elite SOF CQB principles, emphasizing realistic scenarios to reinforce tactical efficiency and decision-making under stress. Instruction prioritizes safety, discipline, and tactical execution, ensuring participants leave with a solid grasp of CQB principles, individual responsibilities in room clearing, and team coordination. This course serves as the foundation for advanced CQB training, Active Shooter Response, and other high-level tactical disciplines. This course consists of BOTH Simunitions AND Live Fire Training Focus Areas • Core CQB Fundamentals & Principles • Pre-Mission Planning Considerations (Hasty & Deliberate) • Lethal Shot Placement (within Simunition safety parameters) • Shooting While Moving (Forward & Laterally) • Lateral Target Transitions • Target Discrimination • Tactical Order of Engagement • 2-Man Room Entry • 4-Man (Team) Entry • Hallway Procedures • Basic Clearance Procedures • Post-Assault Procedures & Tactical Debriefs • 1 Day Live-Fire Flat Range Course Prerequisites Participants must demonstrate safe and competent weapons handling and be able to perform the following unaided: • Maintain safety, trigger discipline, and muzzle awareness at all times • Load, unload, and reload efficiently • Correct basic weapon stoppages • Show consistent groupings without major errors Required Equipment • Sims Protection • Gloves • Eye & Ear Protection • Rifle (Sims Bolt & Live Bolt) 400 Sims Rnds / 400 Live Rnds • Pistol (Sims Bolt & Live Bolt) 100 Sims Rnds / 200 Live Rnds • Rifle Sling • CCO (Close Combat Optic) • Body Armor with Plates • Tactical Duty Uniform • Hydration Capability • Weapon Cleaning Kit & Lubrication • Inclement Weather Gear (Rain/Cold) OSG is a company founded and operated by Special Missions Unit (SMU) veterans and career law enforcement specialists dedicated to empowering military personnel, law enforcement officers, first responders, and responsible civilians.
