3 Day - Hostage Rescue / CQB

Service Description

This specialized Hostage Rescue (HR) training program is designed for the Will County Sheriff’s Office and neighboring departments. This course is a private, invitation-only program with open enrollment, created to enhance and standardize tactical capabilities. The goal of this mission-focused training is to equip your personnel with the mindset and proficiency to act decisively in high-stakes situations. This program is rooted in real-world experience, ensuring the skills taught are both repeatable and effective. Comprehensive Curriculum Overview This is a 3-day (April 1st, 2026 to April 3rd, 2026), Simunition-based Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Fundamentals Course. The curriculum will mirror elite Special Operations Forces (SOF) CQB principles, emphasizing safety, discipline, and tactical execution through realistic scenarios. Instruction will cover: • Hostage Rescue (HR) Scenarios: Training will focus on both HR Strongholds and HR Open Air scenarios. • Vehicle Assault Techniques: Instruction will include techniques specific to HR situations. • CQB Fundamentals: Emphasis on 2- to 4-man room clearing techniques. • Planning: Pre-mission planning (hasty and deliberate). • Tactics & Movement: Shooting while moving (forward and laterally), 2-man and 4-man room entry techniques, stairwell and hallway procedures, and basic clearance procedures. • Firearms Proficiency (Simunition): Lethal shot placement (within Simunition safety parameters), lateral target transitions, and target discrimination. • Post-Assault: Post-assault procedures, and tactical debriefs. Training Objectives and Outcomes Training is designed to ensure participants master CQB principles, individual roles in room clearing, and team coordination. It provides the foundation for advanced CQB, Active Shooter Response, and other high-level tactical training. A key component of this effort is empowering the trainees with the knowledge and principles needed to develop its own comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
