2 Day Night Vision/Low Light CQB
LAW ENFORCEMENT ONLY
Service Description
This intensive training program combines Tier 1 military CQB principles with specialized Low-Light and Night Vision tactics to provide law enforcement with a complete tactical solution for high-threat environments. By integrating Simunition-based pressure testing with cutting-edge night-vision technology, this course ensures that basics on demand remain effective regardless of lighting conditions or operational stress. Participants will master tactical navigation, learning to overcome sensory limitations and manage communication under NVGs. Because traditional hand signals fail, this program instills a hybrid protocol: touch pressure and low-voice communication within the stack, and IR lasers or illuminators for free-flow room clearing. A heavy emphasis is placed on environmental awareness, educating operators on light/IR discipline, punching through deep shadows, and navigating the halo effects of auto-gating light sources. Trainees will practice movement to avoid tripping hazards and learn to mitigate specific NVG risks, including dust and smoke considerations, white-outs and IR laser reflections off glass. Weapon handling and target engagement are completely adapted for night operations. Operators will develop the muscle memory required for high-workspace reloads to maintain threat focus. Training covers modified shooting stances for passive aiming through raised optics and active aiming with IR lasers, alongside identification friend-or-foe (IFF) protocols using passive reflective patches and active IR helmet strobes. Course Pre-requisites ● Weapon Handling: Participants must demonstrate safe and competent weapon handling and be able to perform the following unaided: -○ Maintain safety, trigger discipline, and muzzle awareness at all times -○ Load, unload, and reload efficiently -○ Correct basic weapon stoppages ● Laser Sighting Systems & Alignment: Must have a clear understanding of Parallel Zero and Converging Zero for IR lasers.
